Jacqui Frazier-Lyde, 39, one of 11 children of "Smokin' Joe" Frazier, has been nicknamed "Sister Smoke" by her dad's old nemesis (and her current opponent's father) Muhammad Ali.
She attended American University on a basketball scholarship, and earned her law degree at Villanova. Now a practicing lawyer, with offices upstairs from her father's Philadelphia gym, Frazier-Lyde specializes in personal-injury and estate planning law.
Frazier-Lyde did not start boxing professionally until she was 38 years old. Her first fight, on Feb. 6, 2000, didn't last long: She knocked out her opponent Teela Reese a minute and a half into the first round. She has won all seven of her professional bouts with knockouts.
Frazier-Lyde is married to union negotiator Peter Lyde, with whom she's raising three children: stepson Peter Jr., 17, daughter Sable, 8, and son John-Joseph, 7.
