Congratulations, Keke Palmer! The actor and singer won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Host for a Game Show at the 2024 Creative Arts Emmys, and she did so with the most glamorously gorgeous honey-blonde hair.
If you've ever seen Palmer in action as a host – perhaps on the Met Gala red carpet, the Soul Train Awards or on TV's Password, for which she won the award — you know she was a shoo-in for the Emmy. (She was also the first woman to win said award in 15 years.) To accept her golden statuette, Palmer wore a long warm blonde wig with darker blonde and brunette lowlights scattered throughout, similar to Beyoncé's signature golden blonde. The custom Nirene Collection wig was installed by her go-to hairstylist Keshaun Williamson, AKA Lace Assassin.
7 hair colours that will headline 2024, from linen blonde to cherry colaPalmer looked every bit the Big Boss she is in big, loose supermodel curls, with a portion tossed over one shoulder and the rest worn down her back with the perfect amount of va-va-voom volume and bounce. “I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such a classic game show such as Password. It’s a true honour, I won!” Palmer wrote on Instagram.
This isn't the first time we've seen Palmer living the honey-blonde life. In August, she wore a hip-length straight wig in the colour for a workout and went full blonde bombshell at the Soul Train Awards. Palmer isn't alone in her love for the shade, either; the colour has been a celeb fave lately, with stars like Rihanna and Kim Kardashian giving it a spin, too.
Keke Palmer matched her lipstick and manicure to her Sergio Hudson dress, opting for a rich, deep ruby shade. Makeup artist Kenya Alexis brushed a similar tone on her lids, opting for a rose taupe with lots of black liner and a fluttery lash, then applied a brick red lipstick that was basically identical to her dress. (Was it a single lipstick match or a custom blend? Curious minds want to know!) Her nails were painted the exact same colour and shaped into long, soft stilettos. Palmer's Emmy win was extremely well-deserved, and I think this glam needs a trophy too.
