The surgeries were filmed for Zolciak's Bravo reality show. As she explained at the time, "I wanted women to see 1st hand the process, the recovery, etc. I always wished I could watch someone go through it."

In July, Zolciak credited "genetics" for playing a part in her 50-lb. weight loss. Additionally, the reality star told E! News, "I do wear kind of like a homemade-type girdle after I had the [twin] babies, for six weeks, and I'm wrapped so damn tight for a period of time—and it makes your stomach flat as a board."
