Rupert Grint is set to carry the Olympic torch on this summer's parade route, it has been reported. The Harry Potter star will carry the flame from Middlesex University on Wednesday 25 July. The 23-year-old actor will join a number of athletes on the day, including Daley Thompson, Gordon Banks and Nathan Robertson as the torch passes the university, Wembley Arena and Barnet. Grint joins a long list of celebrities who have carried the torch on its journey to the Olympic cauldron this year, which has included Dr Who star Matt Smith and The Voice UK judge will.i.am. After taking a break following the release of the final Harry Potter instalment last summer, Grint has since signed up to Into The White and The Necessary Death Of Charlie Countryman. He is currently filming CBGB with his former Potter colleague Alan Rickman and Twilight star Ashley Greene.
